Following the Prime Minister’s news conference on Saturday 31 October 2020, the introduction of the Job Support Scheme has been deferred, and the scheme it was intended to replace, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, has been extended to the end of March 2021.
The Job Support Scheme may be reintroduced then, but at present this is not clear.
