A vacancy has become available within our Payroll team for a Payroll Administrator, based within our Shrewsbury office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the end-to-end payroll process for their own portfolio of payroll clients, which will be a mixture of weekly, fortnightly and monthly completions.
On a day-to-day basis you will maintain accurate records for your payroll clients, keeping them compliant with all payroll regulations and handling their related queries and enquiries. The successful candidate will need to have the highest standards of client care, exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, whilst delivering a seamless payroll service to the range of clients within the portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
- Completing all administrative duties linked to payroll activities, including Auto Enrolment, pension payments
- Accurately entering data to produce weekly, fortnightly or monthly payslips and pay summaries in accordance with agreed client specifications and timescales
- Provide the necessary reports and summary payroll information for payments to third parties
- Provide guidance and advice on pay related matters such as holiday pay, SSP, maternity and paternity pay
- Provide information for clients to accurately complete monthly and year-end payroll activities (for example RTI, P60 and P11d information)
Job role requirements:
- Strong background in payroll administration
- Worked in a similar payroll bureau / accountancy practice environment, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Experience of working with Bright Pay would be beneficial (training will be given where required)
- Highest standards of client care
- Self-organised, disciplined and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable
- Work on own initiative
- Easy travelling distance to the Shrewsbury office
