Dyke Yaxley have helped a local engineer build his business which has gone from strength to strength.
The team at Dyke Yaxley have been instrumental in helping Ben Kaye since he launched Explorer Vehicle Engineering, which is based in Weston Lullingfields.
Ian Middleton, Dyke Yaxley’s client tax manager, helped Ben to secure a grant from the Shropshire Business Enterprise Fund which he used to buy new hi-tech diagnostic equipment.
And now, thanks to Dyke Yaxley’s support, Ben is travelling all over the county offering a quality maintenance and repair service to owners and operators of all models of Land Rover vehicles.
“In just two years, I have successfully established my business, and I’m now working directly with private owners and with independent garages,” said Ben.
“Without such great support from Ian and the team at Dyke Yaxley, I would never have been able to raise the money to buy my equipment, and I really am very grateful to them for all their help.”
The Shropshire Business Enterprise Fund is run by Shropshire Council, and provides grants to businesses who are finding it difficult to secure funding from banks and other lending institutions.
Ian Middleton said the grants were aimed at businesses that had been trading for between nine and 36 months, with capital grants of up to £5,000 available, to provide a maximum contribution of 50% towards eligible costs.
“We’ve been extremely impressed with Ben’s commitment to his business and his success is testimony to all the hard work he’s put in.
“We are very pleased to have played a small role in helping him on his way and look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”
