Welcome to our newest recruit, Tony Elliott, who joins us as a Senior Tax Planner.
Tony joined the accountancy profession after a complete career change at the age of 40. He owned and managed a business based in the county for 18 years, before completing a degree and qualifying as a Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser.
He has a wide range of experience in the accountancy industry, and combined with his personal experience of running a successful business, is in a unique position to give technical and effective advice.
His role at Dyke Yaxley will involve advising clients on a variety of tax issues, including corporate restructuring, tax mitigation for groups, and tax investigation work.
Tony has extensive experience of making research and development tax claims, particularly in manufacturing and software sectors, and also advises on VAT, inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning.
And, when it comes to dealing with specific industry sectors, Tony has worked with a range of complex property, education and charity/not-for-profit businesses.
Tony said “I’m looking forward to working closely with the rest of the Dyke Yaxley team and to using my knowledge and expertise to help new and existing clients make the most of the tax saving opportunities available.”
Our Managing Director, Laurie Riley said “Tony’s experience of running his own business makes him an invaluable addition to our team, and we’re sure our clients will benefit from his extensive knowledge.
Changing direction and retraining was an extremely brave step to take, and Tony’s dedication and commitment to his accountancy career are definitely paying off.”
